Conlan, Thomas Aaron
Annapolis - Thomas Aaron Conlan of Annapolis, Md., passed away Monday, July 15. He was born in Rapid City, S.D. on May 13, 1956. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Gailann Gerofsky-Conlan and his daughters, Julianna Quinn and Skye Tuxing Conlan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Francis and Dawn Ellen Conlan of Dale City, VA. Tom is also survived by siblings E. Stephen Conlan (Elizabeth) of Golden, Colo.; Sue Conlan-Duhamel (Jimmy) of Largo, Fla.; Betsy Conlan-Jacowski (Tom) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Bob Conlan of Apple Valley, Minn.; Michael Conlan (Susan) of Sterling, Va.; Patty Conlan-Foster (Scott), of Monument, Colo.; three nephews, eight nieces, one great-niece, one great-nephew, one aunt, one uncle and many cousins.
Tom was the Founder and President of Aid Our Veterans, INC., a non-profit organization working with homeless and unemployed veterans across the United States. Tom was a U.S. Navy veteran and was dedicated to all who served this country. His passion for veterans was instilled in him at an early age, having come from a military family with ancestors serving in every generation since 1770.
Tom enjoyed politics, sports, music, live theater, cooking and his family.
Memorial services are being held Saturday, Aug. 10 from 1 - 5 p.m. at the Hawk’s Pleasure Club, 430 Riverside Drive. Friends and family are invited to come celebrate his life.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to Aid Our Veterans, 520 Riverside Drive, Baltimore MD 21221.
