Pasko, Sr., Joseph Stephen
Dundalk - Joseph Stephen Pasko Sr., 68, died on May 12 of a pulmonary embolism at his Dunglow Road residence. He was a lifelong resident of Dundalk and an Air National Guard veteran.
Joe grew up on Meath Road and was a member of the first graduating class (Class of 1963) of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel High School. As a parishioner of St. Rita’s Roman Catholic Church, he was actively involved in the community and was often referred to as the “unofficial mayor of Dunglow Road”.
After 29 years of service in the Air National Guard, Joe retired with the rank of master sergeant. Concurrently with his military service, he worked part-time as a bouncer at the Main Event Nightclub in Essex.
Joe loved aviation, military history, and frequently traveled to enjoy many air shows. He also enjoyed weightlifting and worked out at several gyms over the years, most recently at Gold’s Gym in Dundalk.
His absolute passion was for his two grandsons, who knew him as “Pop Pop,” and he was actively involved in their lives.
He is survived by his son Joseph S. Pasko Jr. and his sister Edrick Forbes. Parents Paul A. and Edrick M. Pasko preceded him in death.
Burial at Arlington National Cemetery is pending and further notice will be provided when scheduled. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Joe Pasko Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 43602, Nottingham, MD 21236. This fund was established for the exclusive benefit of Joe’s beloved grandsons.
