Stange, Debra C.
Essex - On Aug. 6, Debra C. Stange, a 13-year resident of Essex and part-time volunteer at the Essex branch of Baltimore County Public Libraries.
Debra grew up off of Northern Parkway and York Road and graduated from Mercy High School in 1982 as the Senior Class President. She attended college for four years. Throughout her life she worked as a model in Baltimore, New York and Canada; a bartender and a processor of used car titles and registrations. She also ran her own business, ZephyrScent, with her parents.
Debra loved the beach, gardening and canning, reading conspiracy and history-related novels, watching the Food Network, listening to ’70s music and dancing at city festivals. She leaves behind two spoiled cats, Addy and Boots.
She was the loving companion of Rod McMillion; devoted mother of Caelan L. Nixon; loving daughter of Roberta and Dan Horgan; dear sister of Donna Stange, Derek Henry and step-brother Danny Horgan. Also surviving are aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
“A Celebration of Life in Memory of Debra” will be held at the Hawks Pleasure Club, 430 Riverside Drive in Essex, on Sunday, Aug. 17 from 2 – 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made payable to Roberta Horgan, 5939 Chinquapin Pkwy, Baltimore, MD 21239-2202 for the benefit Debra’s only child.
