Frank, LaVerne -
Essex - On Sept. 24, LaVerne Frank (nee Ravenscroft), 83, of Essex. passed away peacefully. LaVerne was born to the late James and Ruby Ravenscroft on June 10, 1931, in Somerset County, Pa, She was the wife of the late Edward “Pinkie” Frank. She is survived by three children, Janice Carter and husband Charles; Wendell Yoder and wife Kelley and Ronald Yoder and wife Terry, all of Essex, as well as a brother, Blaine Ravenscroft of Reisterstown. She was predeceased by a daughter, Gail Frank, a son, Jerry Yoder, and 11 siblings. She had 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
LaVerne worked as a seamstress for Londontown Manufacturing Company, Inc. until retirement in 1985. She loved listening to bluegrass music, attending church, watching her soap operas and being with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Services were held at Connelly Funeral Home of Essex on Sept. 29.
