Richmond - On Feb. 24, Joel Robert Dennis, 64, died suddenly.
Joe was born in Baltimore and lived in Dundalk before moving to Richmond, Va., in 1985. He was a gentle, loving and hardworking man who loved his family and adored his granddaughter. He enjoyed spending time with his family, visiting Ocean City, Md., working around the house and gardening. He was a proud Vietnam War veteran who loved his country. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, William and Amelia Denis; brother Earl Dennis and wife Gerry Dennis. He is survived by his loving daughters Kathy Bradley and Kristy Dennis and son-in-law Brian Bradley; future son-in-law J.P. Hermes; granddaughter Rachel Bradley; and brothers Mark Dennis and William Dennis, as well as many family and friends.
A celebration of Joe’s life was held on March 3 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home in Richmond, Va. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Vietnam Veterans of America, VVA Chapter #078 (Central Virginia Chapter), P.O. Box 35261, Richmond, VA, 23235.
