Essex - On March 21, William Leonard Kling, 87, of Essex passed away at Joseph Richey House in Baltimore. Bill was born to Frank Anthony Kling and May Gertrude Kling (nee Holland) on August 26, 1927, in Baltimore City. He married Alexandria Kling (nee Repkorwich) on May 15, 1949, at the Holy Trinity Russian Church in Baltimore. They were married for 55 years until her death in 2004.
The descendant of a Civil War soldier, Julias Kling, Bill was also a war veteran, having served in the Army during World War II. He ultimate earned the rank of Corporal. Following his military career, Bill served as a police officer for the Baltimore County Police Department for 19 years and then as a security guard for Baltimore Gas & Electric for 10 years.
Bill was the devoted father of Leonard Keith Kling Sr. and his wife Bonnie, William Ronald Kling and his wife Renee, and Laura Novak (nee Kling) and husband Mark; loving brother of the late Ronald Frank Kling and Delores Lonegro (nee Kling); cherished grandfather of Becky Kling Feldman, Mark Steven Novak, Abby Marie Novak and the late Leonard Keith Kling Jr.; and dear great-grandfather of Gabriel Leonard Feldman.
